Antenatal

pregnant10After letting the surgery know you are pregnant you will need to collect your maternity papers from the secretary at approximately 8 weeks, and before you have your first appointment with the midwife at about 10 weeks. Antenatal care is organised and overseen by your midwife, and you will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy. See the link on the right pregnancy care planner.


Child health and immunisations

Immunisation clinics run on Tuesdays 9.00am – 12.00pm 

All new babies are offered a check-up at six weeks. Babies need to have a six week check with the GP before they have their first immunisations.

Minor surgery & Joint Injections

bandage_on_armMinor operations & Joint injections can be done in our treatment or consulting room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.


Diabetes

Led by our nursing team, this clinic offers specialist advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes.


Asthma

Asthma sufferers are offered advice and support from our nurse who specialises in asthma care.


Travel Advice Clinic

Run by our nurse practitioners, this clinic gives travel advice and support to patients travelling abroad.

Patients registered with this practice are entitled to NHS vaccines which are free of charge.

 Non-NHS vaccines will incur a charge. These include: Yellow Fever, Rabies & Japanese Encephalitis.

Private patients (not registered at this practice) will be charged for all vaccines.

Well Woman Clinic

vaccination4This clinic provides information to women on contraception, Cervical Smears, and Health Promotion. Confidential contraception advice is available to all ages.


LARC Contraception Clinic

This clinic provides for the fitting of Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives. Please note that you will need to have seen a GP or our well women nurse to be referred into this clinic.


Treatment Room

This is for patients who need to have ulcer and other dressings changed on a regular basis. Please contact reception for the times and days that this clinic is in operation.


Other Private Services

The practice also offers a range of private medical non-NHS services in addition to the Travel Advice Clinic. These include:
