Acute Prescription.

This prescription will be given to you by a GP and can be obtained from any chemist that has an NHS Contract.

Repeat Prescriptions.

Theses can be obtained in several ways. Firstly by either completing the right hand side of your last repeat prescription form or by making a written request to the practice. Repeat request forms are also available from reception.

Please allow up to 3 complete working days for your request to be processed.

We can also offer patients the option of using the pharmacy2u system which will allow you to have medications delivered to your home or work. They can also manage the complete prescription cycle. To register or for more information please follow the link below.

Alternatively if you wish to register for a locally based home delivery service for your  prescriptions please visit http://www.nhapharmacy.co.uk/

You can request repeat prescriptions via our online service. If you would like to register for this service please complete the Internet services registration form. You will then be sent a letter with the necessary information to allow you to use the service.

If you have already registered to use the online service you can order your repeat medication using the following link https://access.e-mis.co.uk/ .

Alternatively if you wish you can request your repeat prescription via e-mail at Repeat-Med@gp-k83024.nhs.uk Please note that these prescriptions will be ready for collection 3 days after the e-mail has been received by practice staff.

When requesting repeat medication by e-mail please provide the following information:

  1. Your Name.
  2. Your Date of Birth.
  3. A contact number in case of a query.
  4. The precise details of the required medication as shown on your current repeat request slip.

Please note that Dr Hanspaul & Partners do not accept requests by telephone for a repeat prescription.

Repeat Dispensing Prescriptions.

The practice is also part of the repeat dispensing pilot project. This allows patients who are taking medications on a regular basis without the need to change dosage needs to have up to 6 months prescriptions ( 6 x 1 month prescriptions) issued to a participating chemist. The medication can then be collected each month from the nominated chemist. At the end of the 6 months the prescription can either be renewed or, if necessary, an appointment made with a clinician for a medication review.

Prescription Costs.

if you pay for your prescriptions you may find Pre-payment certificates to be of interest to you. These can cost of prescriptions to you.
