 Blood Tests at Nene Park

Please note that blood tests at Nene Park can be taken up to 15:30pm.

If you are planning any foreign travel, you are advised to complete a travel health questionnaire as you may need to discuss your travel needs with the practice nurse.

The travel health questionnaire is available from reception or online (see below). Travellers need to ensure this form is returned to the surgery at least 6-8 weeks before travel, as some vaccinations require a course of injections over a period of a month or longer.

A full risk assessment is carried out based on your health questionnaire and which countries and regions you are visiting, to determine what vaccinations are required. Once this is completed we will contact you either by letter or telephone with an appointment time.

We cannot always cater for last minute travellers.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Europe & Russia North America
Central America South America
Caribbean Africa
Middle East Central Asia
East Asia Australasia and Pacific

Vaccines covered under the NHS which are free of charge are:

Hepatitis A, Tetanus, Polio, Diptheria & Typhoid.

Other travel vaccines are not covered by the NHS & will incur a charge.

These include:

Hepatitis B, Rabies, Japanese B encephalitis.

Malaria prophylaxis tablets, if required, will be discussed at your appointment.
